Weeks 5 & 6

Well, I am over 6 weeks old now, and still getting bigger, I am now 11 lbs. I have been very busy in the last 2 weeks. I am smiling so much and making lots of cute sounds. I am also sleeping 7-9 hours straight in the nightime which makes mom very very happy. It's been soo nice out, we go for lots of walks, we often walk to the mail and then to Grandma Carilee's for lunch. I also just got my own bike. We went to Winkler last week and bought my very own chariot, and on Saturday I had my first bike ride. I also had my second baby shower at my Auntie Hollie's. I got so many new clothes and I love them all. Thanks everyone!!

Last week I had my first shopping trip to Winnipeg. I did not like to be in my car seat, so mommy had to hold me and push the empty stroller so she had a hard time buying stuff. Next time we are going to try shopping with a snugli instead.

Another exciting thing that happend lately, my friend Neveah Neufeld was born on April 9. I got to visit her in the hospital, she is very cute. I am starting to meet lots of Mommy and Daddy's friends. They are more comfortable taking me places because I am such a good girl.

Chicago Cubs Fan

It is April and baseball has started. There is a Chicago Cubs game on the TV or Computer everyday. Daddy has turned mom into a big fan, and i guess i am next. Steve & Rosalynn bought a sleeper for me, and my Uncle Conley and Auntie Barb already bought me my very own Chicago Cubs baseball bat.

At first I was a little embarrassed to be a Cubs fan and didn't want to be seen, but then I came around!!

My First Trip

Last week was spring break and I was 3 and a half weeks old. Daddy decided it was time to take me on my first trip, so we went to Elkhorn Lodge at Clear Lake. I had a blast! I was very good in the jeep, slept almost the entire way, had to stop for a little snack then played until we got there. This is very good for me because my car seat is my least favorite thing in the world.

There was so much snow at Clear Lake but that didn't stop mom and dad for taking me for lots of walks. I was also very good in the restaurant, i slept everytime. And everyone at the hotel wanted to see me and tell me how beautiful I am.

My favorite part about the whole trip was the swimming. My bathing suit was a little big, but it worked. The water was a little chilly but I was so calm, all of the kids were splashing around me and I was very content. I got to go two days in a row, now i am ready to go swimming when mommy and daddy take me to the lake in summer time.

I also got to spend some alone time with my Daddy. Mommy said that i was starting to hurt her back and she went for a hot rock massage at the spa. One day when I am bigger we are going to go there together because she said it was the best massage ever.

My first trip was lots of fun, now I am ready for many more!

St. Patricks & Easter

I'm getting bigger and bigger, almost outgrowing my newborn sleepers. I am awake a lot more now. When i'm sleepy i love to cuddle, but when i am awake i love to play on the floor. I saw so many people at Easter time. I finally met my Anutie Lana and her family, I also met all of the Kehlers. My Grandma Carilee & Grandpa Glenn love to give easter baskets so I got my first one, I was a little sleepy and didn't know what was happening, but a few days later I finally found baby Tad and now I play with her every day. I also had a baby shower with Mommy's friends and I got a floor mat with all sorts of toys on it. When I was three weeks old my Mommy put it together and I'm slowly starting to focus on the different shapes.
