Walking

We've been trying to keep busy on these last few cold days. We watched some hockey, went to Winnipeg to look at some campers. We also went skating with Grandma and Oakley. We just can't wait for the weather to warm up. I am ready to run around outside. Here are some videos from last week, I decided that I love walking. Today I spent almost the entire day walking instead of crawling. It's just so much fun!

Fast asleep, until Mommy woke me up with the flash. What was she thinking?

Having some fun after Mommy has been grocery shopping, and doing one of my favorite things....eating!

Watching hockey

So cute, all dressed up

Cold January Days

Wow, these past few days have been too cold to do anything. I have had a lot of time to practice my walking, and I can take about 5 steps now, I've been doing it for a week. I took my first few steps last Friday. It's very exciting, Mommy says it'll be so much easier to take me places because now I want to crawl everywhere and I am not allowed because I get too dirty. Soon she can take me to the rink and I can run around.
I haven't updated everyone on what I have been up to in the last month. I've been a very good sleeper, going to bed at 8 like usual and only waking up once in the night. Sometimes 2 but not very often. I also only need milk from Mommy in the morning and at night. I do drink a lot during the day though, 2 cups of water and 2 cups of real milk. I'm also starting to eat a lot of Mommy and Daddy's food, and I love it as you can see from the video at the bottom. I usually hum when I eat, especially if it's something I really like, and I guess I really like sweet and sour sausage and rice. When I am all full, I put out my hand 'stop' and that means no more. It's very cute.
I have been going to the babysitters one morning a week and to Grandmas one afternoon a week while Mommy goes to work. Preparing me for March. I have been doing very well, I really like playing with the other kids but I do miss my Mom. And it sure tuckers me out, today I fell asleep on the 30 second drive home.
On the other days Mommy and I play all day. I have fun with all of my new toys. I always want to be standing. I talk a lot! I try to say tickle, yum yum, bye bye, Daddy and lots of others. My new game is to lift up Mommy's shirt and blow on her belly to make a 'farting sound', then I giggle because I think it's so funny. I won't let her leave me for a second when we are at home, if she leaves the room I am right on her standing at her legs as soon as she stops. So the weekends are great when Daddy is home and I give Mommy a break and do it to him.

Every morning I get snacks on my couch.

Eating is another one of my favorite things to do. There isn't much that I don't like.

I still love sleeping with my Daddy

This reminded Mommy of when I was a baby, I'm sure not content on the floor like this for very long.

Just being silly, crawling around pushing movies.

I also like to push everything. Anything that is near me I will grab and start running around the house.

I like to lift up everything, even if it's too heavy for me.

What can I find under the table?

Sledding

We sure had a busy week over Christmas. So we have been resting the last week, we're almost all healthy now, just waiting for the last of my cold sores to go away. I've been having tons of fun with my new toys, and we have been spending a lot of time outside. Since we were all sick most of December we kinda lost our exercising routine, so now we're getting back into it. I've had a lot of chariot rides, walks and jogs. We even went to the hill to go sledding twice. The first time we took my little blue sled and I went all by myself, just from 1/4 of the way up, I really liked it. The next day we took our bigger sled. First Daddy and I went from half way up and it wasn't too much fun, so we went all the way to the top. I was having a great time, giggling and everything, until...we hit a ramp at the bottom of the hill. The sled flew out from under us and we landed in a heap of snow. It took me a little while to realize what happened and when I did I was not happy. My entire face was covered in snow. We went straight home and into my crib for a nap, I was so angry. We will wait until next year before we go sledding again!
