Lyla is 1

Wow, does time ever fly. Lyla is now 1, well actually this post is late, so right now she is almost 13 months. What can we say about our little Lyla! She's not so little, she's got some chunky rolly poly legs, and quite a belly. She is very relaxed, loves to sit and play with all of my little toys. She has never really played much with the baby toys, I guess my stuff is a lot more interesting. She doesn't put much in her mouth, so she plays with me with kitchen, dollhouse, and strawberry shortcake stuff a lot. She has been a crazy fast crawler for a number of months already, but will refuse to push any push toys, she doesn't want to play on any of her riding toys either. This was up until 2 days ago, she suddenly decided that she would push her toy all around the bay, even baby strollers she was pushing around. Today she took about 2-3 steps about 5 times throughout the day before she got nervous and slowly bent down. A switch just suddenly went on I guess. We will be running after her at the next camping trip!
She is a great eater when she's not teething. She now has 12 teeth, all of her molars and she is working on some eye teeth. These days she won't eat a thing. She has been a great sleeper, bed at 7:30 and up just before 7 everyday exactly the same, and a 1-2 hour nap every day at noon. She is always smiling, clapping and singing. Loves to sing nursery rhymes and watch The Wiggles. The next year is only going to get more fun. We love you to pieces Lyla!!

Opening presents from Me, Lyla didn't get much because everything in our house is already pink, and we have enough toys and clothes we don't know what to do with.

We went to Auntie Lana's farm to celebrate the big day. We had lots of fun, we even got to see all the cows and their calves. And we played with Ozzy, hadn't seen her in a long time!

Lyla's new shades

Done opening presents, very pumped!

Cake time!! Lyla loves when we sing Happy Birthday! Thanks for the cake Ginny

 Yum

Playing with Ozzy, and playing ball

We had a little BBQ during the week for another party. Lyla was lovin it! Mom wasn't really on the ball, so Lyla got an angel food cake. Next year she'll get the big party and cake.

Opening more presents, no one had patience for Lyla though. She's has a bit of a different personality than the twins'!!

Easter

This year the Easter Bunny didn't bring much to our house. I don't know why, we got sooo much stuff at Grandma & Grandpa's, and Great Grandpa made his famous delivery. We couldn't figure out why he wouldn't have brought a ton of stuff to our place too!!? Mom had fun getting us all dressed up, and it was a beautiful day

Another pic on the entrance steps...this 1 finally turned out great!

For some reason I said all week that I wanted face paint like a bunny for Easter, so that is what I got!

Searching for eggs and Grandma & Grandpas

We are toooo cute.

Checkin out what is all in those eggs

Lyla finally woke up from her nap and joined us in the egg hunt

yummy treats

hangin out

Here's some random pics from around the house. When there is the odd day that Lyla is not getting teeth, she loves to eat!! Cleaning up is the absolute worst..the floor needs to be mopped after every meal, and I don't think that my sister had ever not cried when being wiped when she's done eating.

I love playing downstairs..so does Lyla. Dress up is usually my favorite. Here I was putting on a dance show for my stuffies.

The beautiful bright double rainbow

Watching TV in our chairs with our lala loopsies

Lyla already likes to copy everything that I do!

Playing musical instruments on my bed. Lyla loves playing in my room.

Minneapolis

This year for Spring Break we went to Minneapolis again. We had a great time, swam at the hotel everyday, walked over to the Mall of America everyday, did the rides, went to the childrens museum. We were busy..Dad went to Iowa on one of the days to pick up our new camper, and we stayed with mom at the hotel and swam. Lyla had a nap in her playpen every afternoon, and we played strawberries on the balcony, or went swimming. We both slept through every night!!! We all got new summer clothes, stopped at Ikea on our way out of the city, and did pretty good in the truck.

Of course we had to go to the Rainforest Cafe, It was great even though I was a little scared of the crocodile at the front

Lyla had lots of fun at the Childrens museum

Swimming was best... we probably swam for 3 hours each day

Mom & Dad hung out on the balcony each night when we were falling alseep, mom came in to check on me and I guess I decided that I wanted to sleep sitting up.

 playing strawberries while Lyla napped

I so badly wanted Lyla to try a ride too, finally we found one for her. She was a little scared when it started moving, but then liked it

 Dora!

The slide that I probably went down over 100 times that week
