A Trip to Minot to visit Uncle Scott

Last weekend we drove 4 hours to Minot to visit Uncle Scott at school. It was lots of fun. We did lots of eating, and swimming, and shopping. It rained all day saturday so we were stuck in the mall, but Sunday it was beautiful and we got to go to the zoo. They have the best zoo! We also had a tour of the Minot State University campus, and the dorms, and where Scott plays baseball. Mommy was very forgetful with the camera, and didn't get any pictures of Scott, oh well, you guys only want to see me anyways!

My favorite thing...swimming!!
The rest of the pictures are all at the zoo!

Trying hard to see the big bison way over the fence

A beautiful pelican

So happy being outside, so much more fun than that mall!

The very funny monkeys

This monkey was eating a banana, and running around with a pail!

Penquins

The giraffes were very cool

Zebras, I wasn't too interested in these animals, they were too far away. But I sure love being in my snuggly, we are sure to take it everywhere we go.

Watching the bears, they were crazy!

Yikes!

Scary lion, we even heard him roaring

I did not like having my head jammed into those circles, so i roared like a lion too

The barn yard animals were my favorite again!

Grabbing the lambs ear

I was the cause of a little party in the barn. I was just talking to the lamb when it all broke loose, and every animal in the barn started talking back, and I got a little bit scared! We could still hear them all excited when we left the zoo.

Banjo Bowl

Last Sunday I went to my first Winnipeg Blue Bomber game, and it may have been my last. I wore my Bomber outfit again, but this time it didn't help..it was a big loss! I did have a great time though, until the 4th quarter when I got a little cold and grumpy, but everyone else was grumpy in the 4th quarter too so that was ok. I was a very good girl, I even had a little nap, and we got to go for supper after the game. I was so excited about the cheering, I cheered the entire walk to the restaurant but most people didn't know that it was cheering they thought that I was doing a turkey call, they even asked if I was a real baby!! Mommy and Daddy were a little bit embarassed.

6 Months

Summer flew by and now Daddy is back at work, and a new routine begins. The last 2 weeks of summer we didn't do much, went to the park a lot, went to the corn and apple festival with Grandma Bev and Grandpa Ron. We had a going away party for Uncle Scotty, and we've had some fires in the backyard. I really like fires. We didn't make it to the pool for one last swim, it just suddenly got too cold, good thing we are going to visit Scotty soon and we get to stay in a hotel. Mommy and Daddy went out last night for the first time, Gma Carilee and Grandpa stayed with me, but I didn't even know because I was sleeping!

Today I am 6 months old. Wow! I am growing up so fast. I am 16 lbs, 2 oz. I am a very happy girl and a very very busy girl, only two or three short naps a day, and still up 4 times a night for milk. I've tried a few new foods, apples, pears, and bananas. So far I have liked them all, but the veggies are next to come, we will see how that goes. Now that school has started, I love sitting on the front steps and watching the kids going to and from school. Outside is my favorite place to be, I'm going to get a cozy jacket and ski pants so I can still go outside when winter comes.

My voice is starting get a little louder, and I'm talking a lot now. Singing is still what I do best, and I really like it when Mommy & Daddy sing nursery rhyms. I am extremely ticklish, I giggle like crazy! I also think that our puppy, Ozzy is very funny. When I go in the backyard and she jumps and barks I just laugh at her. I also am a lot cuddlier than I used to be. I will give hugs and kisses now and dig my head into peoples chests. I always need to know who's holding me, I turn my head around, get and good look, and then grab their face. The only things that I don't really like right now is going down for a nap which isn't anything new, and having a diaper change, and getting dressed. This only started in the last week, and I am very difficult. Sometimes mommy has to get me dressed on the front step because that is the only place where I am relaxed.

Mommy and Daddy know that I have a lot in store for them for the next six months. I have been a great baby girl for the first six, they have watched me grow from a tiny little baby, to a big baby girl. From lying in one spot with my eyes closed to babbling and moving all around not wanting to miss out on anything. I will always know that I am very special and my Mommy and Daddy love me sooo much.
