Getting So Big!

I have done a lot of new things in the past few days. On the weekend I met my Uncle Barry for the first time, he took lots of pictures of me. I have also been playing with my cousin Oakley a lot, I like to watch him play with his cars, we even play together with my toys. I like all of the kisses he gives me. I've had ton of stories lately, Mommy & Daddy love listening to me talk.

I like to sit with Mommy and Daddy when they eat,

so we took a trip yesterday and bought me a highchair.

Uncle Scott is trying to make me a Brewers fan,

Not Gonna Happen!

But i do like watching baseball on TV with him,

and helping him decide with baseball gear to order.

On Sunday we tried going to another baseball game,

it was a cloudy day, so i liked it a lot better, but i still had to squint.

I baked my first cake with Mommy the other day.

This was another first, Mommy put me in my exersaucer,

I liked the new toys on it, but i'm still a little to small for it,

there is a little too much going on at once and i got a little overwhelmed.

Awake

I have decided that I like to be awake all day, I don't want to miss out on anything. I play so much that I need three tiny naps a day. Half hour in the morning, and two half hour naps in the afternoon and that is it, Mommy says they are way too short. I also make sure i never go past 35 minutes, it's almost like I time them in my sleep. Just enough rest to get me through the next play session. This is starting to make mommy very tired, so it's a good thing that I sleep really good in the night.

I'm getting a little better when we go places. I like to be held outwards so I can see what is going on, but if there is too much happening I don't like it. Mommy really likes to be outside and go for walks and watch baseball, but it just hasn't been nice enough for me. I don't like the wind, and I don't like the sun, it's so bright that I can't see anything, and I get very mad. I've been to three of my Uncle Scotts baseball games, and i didn't really like any of them. We will keep trying, and soon I will. My favorite thing is to be inside at home playing! I've started to tell a lot of stories, but only on certain days. I have developed a bit of an attitude, and i can give one big pout, it looks very funny, mommy hasn't got it on camera yet. I've also started to love cartoons, this is when mommy gets her break. I could watch all day, I even watched my whole Einstein movie the other day. I get really excited when they show babies and kids, I laugh and kick my legs!!

Because I love playing so much Mommy has been trying to think of new toys to buy me. This morning she remembered I had a tray to go on my swing that has toys with it. There are a few pictures showing how I just wasn't sure about it. I made a lot of faces. First a huge pout, that she didn't get on camera again, then a big smile and then I told some stories, and I did this for a while, then suddenly I started screaming! So we will see if this becomes a toy that I like. And I will keep Mommy on her toes, and let her know what I like and don't like.

2 months old

I am already 2 months old, wow the time is flying by. I am still 11 lbs. I only gained 2 ounces in the last 2 weeks, probably because I was a little bit sick. Mom doesn't mind that I am staying small, but I sure am getting longer! I can hold my head up very well, and I love to sit and look around. I have been very interested in the world around me, checking everything out. I get to lie down when I go for stroller rides now which makes me very happy. The less time I have to spend in that car seat, the better. I also got to watch my Uncle Scott play baseball yesterday. I am going to be doing a lot of that this summer, Mommy & Daddy sure hope I like it. Well Mommy took a bunch of 2 month old pictures of me, hope you like them. A week without Daddy

So much has happened again, I have been so busy. Mommy needs to update this more often. She's also getting a little slack with the picture taking, but here are a few. Daddy has been watching hockey a lot lately, so i started to enjoy the TV too. I can sit in my chair and watch hockey and baseball for at least an hour at a time. Mommy and I often watch the Cubs games in the afternoon so I can get to know all of the players for when they take me on a trip to Chicago.

My Daddy had to go on a trip last week to Toronto with 18 other kids, and I didn't get to go. So it was just me and my mommy for a whole week. Mommy and I missed him lots so we had to keep ourselves very busy. We visited Grandma Carilee, Grandpa Glenn, and Uncle Scott a lot. My Grandma even took us and my Anutie Hollie and Cousin Oakley to Grand Forks for a night. I had lots of fun swimming, and mommy did lots of shopping. I also caught my first cold. I coughed and coughed, and my nose was so runny. Mommy didn't like it when i was sick, especially because i didn't sleep very well, and Daddy wasn't home to help. I have been doing lots of resting so that I can get better, and it has been very windy so I haven't been able to go for very many walks.

I am starting to do all sorts of fun stuff though. I smile all the time, and tell little stories when I am in the right mood. I can hold onto my rattle and shake it around. I have also found that the back of my hand tastes really good, and I suck on it all the time. I have decided that bathtime is so much fun that when mommy takes me out of the tub, i have quite a freak out because I am not finished playing. So we have to set aside a very long time for baths, and finally when the water is cold and I am all wrinkly she can take me out!
