Lyla 6 months

Well, Lyla's newborn photoshoot never made it on the blog, so her 6 month pics will make it, but a little late! Lyla went first, then the 2 of us, then it was finally my turn. It didn't go over too well that I had to stand and watch her for the first 10 minutes so I wasn't as cooperative as I should have been. My pics didn't turn out so great, but Lyla's were great and that was what we were really there for. I'll have my turn again in March.
So Lyla is 7 months now already. She is a very happy baby, as long as she's not getting teeth. Tooth number 6 came through last week, and the last couple haven't been pleasant. She started off pooping once every 2 weeks until she was 3months, then a month of pooping 10 times throughout each day and night. Then fevers and throwing up. In between everything we would have a few weeks of normal, getting into a shedule, introducing new foods, etc. then the next tooth would come and the next battle.
Aside from the teeth, she is a pretty good sleeper. 7 o'clock is bed time almost always. She has never had a night where she hasn't been up less than 2 times, usually 4 times... but it's usually for a quick feed or a soother and a bit of gripe water to keep the soother in, or to get re-wrapped. She takes a soother only in her crib and her carseat. She has never wanted to be rocked to sleep, not once, and still need to be swaddled or sleeping on her tummy. And it only takes 2 minutes for her to fall asleep for naps and for bed. So that part is great. Her naps are anywhere from an hour to 2 1/2.
She loves watching and playing toys with me. She likes watching tv and reading books. Sitting and playing is still her favorite though. She likes to hold hands and walk around the house, but crawling is out of the question, although lately she has stayed on her belly long enough to move backwards across the whole living room, before crying to get moved back to sitting position. She is very wussy when she gets hurt, a little kick from Halle or bump on her head is a meltdown. But in general a very happy baby. She smiles for anyone as long as she's in mom's arms. Making strange is just beginning and it's looks like it's gonna be pretty bad, so we'll see how the next few months go.
